2005年6月〜7月神戸大学発達科学部で社会教育主事講習をモデル事業として実施した。そのために2004年度〜2005年5月までの期間は、基礎的な調査研究やプランニングにあてた。研究についての打ち合わせや概念の共有については、ほぼ週1回のミーティングを開催して行った。個別の研究が中心であったが、共同研究者間での共通した認識が増した。社会教育主事講習では、社会教育指導者である受講者が自らエンパワーメントし、相互に学習をファシリテイトしていくプロセスを支援すること、またそうした学習成果が外部効果となることを目標とした支援を柱としたプログラムを構成し、結果を評価した。こうした研究にあたって、次の各点を参照しながら作業を進めた。第一に、学校教育と社会教育との関係の中でのレジリエンシー原理の追究。第二に、成人教育の文脈におけるレジリエンシー原理の追究。第三に、人権教育に関わったレジリエンシー原理の追究。第一の点(学校教育と社会教育の関係)は、社会教育指導員の多くが学校関係者であることから、モデル事業の中でも重要な位置を占めたが、その後も継続的に追究し、共同研究者の伊藤篤が2006年2月に東京都練馬区での研究会に出席し、意見交換を行った。第二の点(成人教育の文脈)は、本研究での基本的視点として措定したところであり、実践評価等の場面でさらに深い議論を要求された。研究代表者の末本は、この視点から、2005年10月にフランスナント大学の研究会に出席し、グローバルな場で情報交換や討議を行った。第三の点(人権教育)は、レジリエンシー原理の基本構成要素として認識され、モデル事業でも一貫して重視したポイントである。研究代表者、共同研究者各人がそれぞれに追究したが、特に共同研究者の朴木佳緒留が2005年12月に開催された女性学研究会シンポジウムで、幅広い討議のための話題を提供した。

Research representatives and co-investigators were invited to discuss the topic at the Women's Studies Research Conference held in December 2005.
