A Research on Industrial Mental Health and Human Resource Management

这一研究项目主要关注面临经济结构调整和技术创新的当代日本企业的工业心理健康问题的现状。我们围绕人力资源管理方面进行了理论调查和实地访谈调查。因此，我们可以将我们的发现总结为以下三点。很明显，由于工作场所的信息化，日本的职员和工程师正承受着相当大的精神压力。普通的日本企业不是从人力资源管理的角度来处理这些问题，而是从员工福利计划的角度来处理这些问题。日本工会也没有积极与资方进行协商。但值得注意的是，日本产业顾问协会等专业团体正在兴起。

This research project is centrally concerned with the present situation of the industrial mental health problems in the contemporary Japanese firms which are confronting economic restructuring and technological innovations. We have conducted both theoretical surveys and field interview surveys focusing on the aspect of human resource management. As a result we can summarize our findings in the following three points.1. It is apparent that Japanese clerks and engineers are suffering considable mental stress from the informatization of the workplace.2. Ordinary Japanese firms are approaching these problems not from the standpoint of human resource management, but from the standpoint of employee welfare program.3. Japanese labor unions are not actively negotiating with management on this subject. However, it is noteworthy that some professional groups such as Japan Industrial Counselors Association are emerging.
