これまで読者研究やオーディエンス研究は、ベストセラーの研究や特定の趣味集団に注目した研究が主たるものであり、特定の世代とその世代に影響をもたらす行政的側面に注目した研究はなかった。しかし、2001年に施行された「子どもの読書活動の推進に関する法律」は、子どもの読書環境、流通する書籍の在り方や子どもたちの学校での読書活動の形式に対し、大きな影響を与える可能性がある。本研究は、2001年の読書推進法施行以降の若者の読書環境やそこで経験される読書活動の内実を明らかにすることを目的としている。平成29年度における研究実績としては、研究実施計画に沿い、子どもの読書環境の変化の解明のため行政資料および図書館関連の各種資料から制度的文脈における読書環境の変化について検討を行った。特に、「子どもの読書活動の推進に関する法律」が学校における読書およびそこに持ち込まれる書籍への影響について検討した。注目すべきは「朝の読書」がもたらす学校の時間のデザインと読書環境の変化である。旧来の読書指導の枠組みとは異なる「朝の読書」の普及は、学校の中の読書経験の位置づけにも大きな影響をもたらしていた。これらの知見については、さらに資料などから分析を進め、今後投稿論文にし、公知化を進める。また、上記の行政的文脈についての分析を進めながら、実際に読まれている書籍の内容分析のために学校読書調査の分析、および学校読書調査でよく読まれている書籍の収集・内容分析の準備を開始、また『出版指標年表』の収集を完了し、分析に着手した。最後に、これからの本格的な調査に向けて、Web小説に関連する出版関係者にヒアリングを行い、これからの調査の実行可能性および具体的な手続きについて検討した。

The purpose of this study is to clarify the book publishing environment and the internal reality of the book publishing activities that have been managed since the implementation of the Book Publishing Promotion Law in 2001. Research achievements in 2010 - 2011: Research and implementation plan, interpretation of administrative data, library related data, institutional context, transformation of book environment. In particular, the law on the promotion of children's book activities is discussed in relation to the impact of books on schools and schools. The school's time and environment are changing. In the past, the popularity of the book was different from that of the book in the middle of the school. This is the first time that the author has submitted a paper to the public. The analysis of the administrative context of the book is carried out in advance, and the analysis of the content of the book is carried out in practice. The analysis of the school book survey is carried out in preparation for the book collection and content analysis. The collection of the publication index chronology is completed and the analysis is started. Finally, the investigation direction of this case, the publication relationship of Web novels, the possibility of carrying out this investigation, and the specific investigation direction.
