A comprehensive guideline of a primary care physical activity program in older adults

在制定日本老年人初级保健体育活动计划的综合指南时，以下问题被认为是重要的：1)身体健康应该通过评估下肢和上肢力量、静态平衡、身体活动和日常生活活动来评估；2)针对不同体质水平的体育活动方案，应针对大群体、小群体、个人和家庭设置；市政方面的支助，如培训非专业领导（社区志愿者），可有效促进健康，加强志愿者和参与者之间的人际关系。我们强调有必要进行实际研究，以进一步检查为全面初级保健目的的有效体育活动计划。

In the development of comprehensive guidelines for primary care physical activity programs among older Japanese adults, the following issues were considered to be important : 1) Physical fitness should be evaluated by assessing lower and upper limb strength, static balance, physical mobility, and activities of daily living ; 2) Physical activity programs for different physical fitness levels should be made available for large groups, small groups, individuals, and home-based settings ; and 3) Municipal support such as training of lay leaders (community volunteers) is effective in promoting good health and reinforcing the human relationships among volunteers and participants. We emphasize the need for practical research to further examine effective physical activity programs for the purpose of comprehensive primary care.
