项目摘要

2022年度も引き続き研究協力者のパウラ・オジョス・ハットリ氏（ブエノスアイレス大学）にブエノスアイレスの国会図書館での資料収集を依頼し、島崎藤村と有島生馬の第14回国際ペンクラブ大会参加に関する新聞記事を調査した。また東京の国立国会図書館では戦前にアルゼンチンで発行された日本語新聞を調査し、画家の藤田嗣治や矢崎千代二のアルゼンチン旅行に関する記事を収集した。昨年度からの研究成果をもとに、藤村と生馬のペンクラブ大会参加についてスペイン語の現地報道を分析し、8月にメキシコシティで開催された国際シンポジウムで口頭発表（オンライン）を行った。10月には、英国で活躍したアルゼンチン生まれの作家、鳥類学者ウィリアム・ヘンリー・ハドソンの没後100周年を記念する国際シンポジウムがオンラインで開催された。ハドソンの姪がアルゼンチンに移住した日本人と結婚したことをきっかけに、日本とアルゼンチンの間でハドソンを通じた様々な文化交流が行われてきた。今日ハドソンは両国の友好関係を象徴する存在となっており、シンポジウムではハドソンと日本のつながりや日本語への翻訳について発表した。11月には日本国内でオンラインの講演会を行い、日本におけるハドソンの受容について論じた。
