本研究では交渉のプロセスをゲーム理論でモデル化し、どのような交渉結果が実現するのかを分析している。本研究では特に労使交渉や事業提携の交渉を分析し、交渉における戦略や交渉方法の適切なルールについての新たな指針を与えることが目的である。本年度は昨年度に引き続き、交渉当事者が協力することで将来得られる利益の大きさについて、交渉時点では利益の大きさがどの程度になるかが不確実である状況を考察した。また、仲裁制度が交渉結果にどのような影響を及ぼすのかという点についても分析している。労使交渉や企業同士での交渉では、将来得られる利益の大きさが交渉時点では確証がない場合が多い。したがって、利益の大きさが不確実なモデルを分析することで、現実の交渉状況をより詳細に考察できるという点に意義がある。本年度は昨年度に構築したモデルを分析し、未解明であった均衡点を明示的に導出した。本研究のモデルでは、将来的に得られる利益の大きさが「大きい」可能性と「小さい」可能性がある。各交渉者は将来的な利益の大きさについて確証がない状態で、自身の利益配分の要求を行う。互いの要求が両立可能であれば交渉は合意に至る。両立不可能であれば、その際には仲裁者が配分を決める。均衡点は昨年度の予想とは異なった。利益が「大きい」状態において、その利益が十分に大きい場合や、その状態が起こる可能性が十分に高いとき、交渉者は利益が「大きい」状態が起こることを前提として、利益配分の要求を行う均衡点が存在する。この均衡点では、交渉者は利益が「大きい」状態が起こる前提で交渉するが、実際には予想が外れ、利益が「小さい」状態が起こる可能性もある。このとき、互いの要求は両立不可能になるため、仲裁が行われる。また、利益が「小さい」状態が起こることを前提として、交渉者が利益配分の要求を行うような均衡点は、限られた状況のみで実現することが示された。
