The purpose of this study is to examine the acquisition process of problem solving in mathematics, and to clarify the change in the amount of blood in the brain with near infra-red spectroscopy. We developed the following three experiments, and executed the experiment to the university student's subject. The first experiment is to select the congruent figure from some figures using parallel, rotation, and symmetry movement. The second experiment is to make the same solid as the solid of the photograph and freely make the solid. The third experiment is to judges the right and left from the route on the map.The approach employed in this analysis was as follows. We installed the 1-channel near-infrared spectroscopy in the right side frontal lobe point of subject's brain, and measured the change in the amount of blood in the brain for the experiment period. And, we examined the feature of the amount of the change of oxyHb, deoxyHb, and totalHb.As a result of the three experiments, the following were clarified to us. 1) When the subject acquires the strategy about the experiment, deoxyHb is changed from an increase into a decrease. 2) OxyHb is changed by a mental changing the subject of the problem solving process.
