Since the rise of the Women's Liberation Movement in 1970s (the second wave feminism), the early 20^<th> century feminism (the first wave feminism) seems to have lost its role, having its single purpose ‘Vote for Women' had been achieved. However, the first feminism was taking up not only ‘Vote for Women', but also various issues which the second wave feminism is discussing as though it find them for the first time. The aim of this research is to find out these issues of the first feminism and to trace their genealogy comparing their social and national backgrounds. The results of the research are as follows.First, we take up three Japanese leading women of the first wave : Hiratsuka, Yamakawa and Takamure. Mizuta's article analyzes the impact of German Idealism on Hiratsuka's epistemology. Yoshida's article clarifies the individualist aspect of socialist Yamakawa referring her theory of love, marriage and family. As for Takamure, Simura's article defines her position as motherhood-anarchist among feminists.Secondly, Misaki's three articles take up the various types of French feminism at that time, and conclude that the fundamental position of radical feminism is the independence of women as a feminist.Thirdly, Ohasi's two articles are about the relation between socialism and gender in U.S.A, and especially the second one takes up the discussion on birth control in magazines. Yamada's article explains the relation between coeducation and feminism in public schools in U.S.A., which is quite different from that of Japan and Western Europe.

自20世纪70年代妇女解放运动（第二波女权主义）兴起以来，20世纪初<th>的世纪女权主义（第一波女权主义）似乎失去了它的作用，其唯一的目的“为妇女投票”已经实现。然而，第一次女权主义不仅讨论了“为妇女投票”，而且还讨论了第二次女权主义浪潮正在讨论的各种问题，就好像它第一次找到它们一样。本研究的目的是找出这些问题的第一次女性主义，并追溯他们的家谱比较他们的社会和民族背景。研究结果如下：首先，选取了日本第一波女性领导人平冢、山川和高村三人作为研究对象。水田的文章分析了德意志唯心主义对平冢认识论的影响。吉田的文章澄清了社会主义者山川的个人主义方面，提到她的爱情，婚姻和家庭理论。高村正彦的文章将她定位为女权主义者中的母性无政府主义者;美佐纪的三篇文章分别论述了当时法国女权主义的各种类型，并得出结论：激进女权主义的基本立场是女性作为女权主义者的独立性; Ohasi的两篇文章论述了美国社会主义与性别的关系。特别是第二个人在杂志上讨论节育问题。山田的文章解释了美国公立学校男女同校与女权主义的关系，这与日本和西欧有很大的不同。
