项目摘要

本研究は、乳児期の母児間音声コミュニケーションにおける音声プロソディとジェスチャーの定量的解析により、音声のイントネーション構造、時間構造を解析し、喃語の普遍的パタンから母語に固有なパタンへの変容を明らかにすることを目的としている。今年度は、言語獲得期の子どもに対する年長児や大人のことばかけ(CHILD-DIRECTED-SPEECH,MOTHERESE)等、言語環境に関しての出産前からの継時的観察を行い、出産前後の母親の音声プロソディ変化について次の1)から3)を検討した。1)周産期のいくつかの時点における音声特徴の継次的変化2)ことばかけの内容(形式、意味機能)による音声特徴の継次的変化3)子どもへのことばかけの音声特徴の継次的変化及び成立における個人差その結果、個人間比較により「定型台詞」という内容の統一にもかかわらず、発話の抑揚に個人差があること、また、大人に対する発話と子どもに対するものを比較すると、ピッチの上下限の差が大きいのは概して子ども向けの発話であり、さらに産前より産後の時期の発話であることが分かった。さらに、出産前後の時期の変化に応じ「定型台詞」それぞれのピッチの上下限差は変化したものの、その変化は一様ではなく場面や発話ごとに異なった。次に、発話を個別的な発話の形式及び内容特性と関係づけて検討すると、発話の内容特性に応じて、子ども向けの音声特徴の出現傾向に差があることが示唆された。これらの分析結果から、子どもに向けた大人の発話の音声特徴を明らかにするには、周産期時期効果と場面効果のほかに、発話内容効果や個人差を考慮する必要性があることが分かった。すなわち、オノマトペVS.叙述などの発話の形式、意味機能上の差そのものが、おとなの発話が子ども向けの発話の音声特徴を帯びるようになることに影響を与える可能性がある。子ども向けの発話の音声特徴は、確かに周産期に一貫した変化を来すが、発話の意味内容や形式と独立に、普遍的かつ自動的に成立するものではないことが示唆された。
