项目摘要

本研究では、母児間の音声とジェスチャーによる相互作用場面を、以下の4点を中心に検討してきた。1)母親の子ども向け発話に表出した感情情報の推移の縦断観察研究2)母子相互作用場面における注意調整方略の分析と、子どもによる認知の実験研究3)乳児の音声(非叫換)に表出した感情性の情報の分析と認知の研究4)発話に表出した音声の個人性情報の分析と認知の研究結果は以下の通りである。1)では、母親の子ども向け発話の特徴は周産期やそれ以後一貫して表れ、子どもの出生、成長などを契機とした時期による変化があること、子ども向け発話の音声特徴の成立は、文法形式(疑問か平叙か、匂か文かなど)や意味機能(肯定か否定かなどの語彙の性質)など、発話の内容に影響されること、子ども向け発話の音声特徴の継時的変化には共通性と同時に個人差もあること、などが明らかになった。2)では、半統制的な相互作用場面での母親の用いる注意調整方略は、場面の制約が方略に質的な違いをもたらし、またその変化を子どもも理解し行動に反映させること、子どもの音・音声を対象とした認知実験では、模倣の誘引となった刺激音は感情情報が豊かでリズミカルな特徴のある音声であるのに対して、感情情報の表出が顕著でない成人の外国語発話は模倣の誘引とはならないこと、音声認知方略の一つとして、能動的模倣が新奇な音・音声の同定や、音に表出した感情情報の認知に寄与する可能性があることがわかった。3)では、2〜6歳の幼児は乳児音声に含まれる感情性にかかわる情報を成人と同様の規則性をもって認知できること、とりわけ「快」対「不快」の基本的感情性の聴取は成人の判断に近いことが明らかになった。4)では、月齢を追うに従い話者認識正答率は上がり、特に3歳と4歳の間で変化すること、被同定度による音声評定の因子分析では3因子が抽出され、子どもの声の第1因子スコアと被同定度には負相関があること、言語情報が一定の場合は、既知社会的カテゴリー属性に対立がある話者対(性別、年齢差)や既知話者の発話は、未知話者に比べて個人性識別が顕著であること、話者の既知性を統制した未知話者対の場合は、言語情報が理解不能あるいは曖昧で言語情報量の少ない場合では、言語理解情報の十分な場合に比べて、発話の感情識別が高くなることなどが示唆された。しかしまた、成人は複数の未知乳児の言語情報を欠く非言語音声のみから個体性認知ができ、同一乳児における異月齢間、異感情価間、異発話事例間で識別に差があることが明らかになった。
