The Reception of Newtonian Corpuscularism in Japan, and its meaning as a teaching materials in these days.

In this research, the followings were discussed. When science education in primary schools and secondary schools had started actually in Japan in 1880's, Newtonian science and Corpuscularism were diffused by demonstrating some experiments.It had not only followed the science textbooks of England and United States in those days which taught Newtonian science. There was also the tradition of introduction of science by Dutch scholars in the end of Edo era., Precisely, introduction of those textbooks of W.J.s'Gravesande and P.v.Musschenbroek. Those were Newtonians as well as J.T.Desaguliers who delivered public science lectures. Japanese intellectuals had been acquainted with Newtonian Science before Meiji era..
