Developing and Using a 'Task Database' to Teach Apparatus Gymnastics

1. My personal research on coaching difficult skills revealed this: When coaching students, teachers who did not major in apparatus gymnastics have too little information on students' skills and how to create appropriate activities.2. After examining the literature on how to teach apparatus gymnastics and the problems that arise when teachers make tasks, I came to the conclusion that there is sufficient information for those who coach the fundamental skills within a limited time. However, what is lacking is information on how to make new tasks that satisfy students' needs within the current system and how to redefine coaching to make it more effective.3. I studied how to develop a database to address these problems and how to use its contents. It took much longer to input the database contents than I had expected, although I worked at it continuously. In addition, when I examined the problems of copyright and portrait rights connected with the database contents, and how far I should make them public, I found that it was necessary to make them public gradually, not all at once. Therefore, I will publish the research results of the database contents little by little.4. I connection with this project, I devised a practical study utilizing knowledge of movement theory, and reported on a case study.
