We investigated the consciousness or the behavior of primary and secondary students during making robot and participating robot contest (robocon). The results obtained are as follows :・It was recognized that students were making progress in thinking abilities during making robot and participating robocon.・Communication was maintained in high level throughout the class, if a tutor associated with students considerately or a teacher promoted the student activities within or between groups of students.・Junior high school students were more excellent at attitude, behavior or operation during making robot and participating robocon than primary schoolchildren.・The consciousness or the behavior of participants in various robot-classes were measured equally, so that the influences of classroom management on them were not recognized.・The behavior of primary schoolchildren during making robot became active, if they had a lot of experiences・The class of making robot by use of Mindstorms more improved a student in consciousness of creativity than the class of planning a product.・As a result of pass analysis, it became evident that the guidance method of a tutor had great influence upon the activity of a group of children, and "responsibility for foster" and "understanding of robot" had influence upon the guidance method of a tutor
