项目摘要

本年度は最終年度にあたるため,言語の意味理解を中心に,これまでに得られた理論的基礎を整理し,計算機上でその有効性を評価・検証することに留意しつつ,以下の3つの課題に大別し研究を行い,以下の成果を得た.(1)意味情報の構造モデルと表現:高次コミュニケ-ションのための有用な手段である比喩理解のための意味情報の構造モデルとそれを用いた比喩理解のプロトタイプを作成し,モデルの検証を行った.文を読み進めるにつれて漸進的に曖昧性を解消する計算モデルを開発し,その有効性を確認した.次に,既存の国語辞典の動詞見出しの語釈文を計算機で解析することにより,動詞概念の上位/下位関係を半自動的に抽出する方式を開発し,その有効性を明らかにした.(2)計算の意味論:人間の与えるプログラムの仕様を的確に表現し厳密な意味でそれを満たすプログラムを合成し,又,そのプログラムの性質を推論する体系を与え,実際にそれを実行する環境を計算機上に実現するために,2つの論理体系を提案した.この新しい体系と,そこに含まれるプログラム言語に基づき,計算機上に証明,検証システムを実現した.以上により,仕様記述,検証,証明を統一したシステムで実行できることを示した(3)自然言語の意味論:知性と感性と考慮した心のモデルを構築し,それに沿って人の認識,思考,行動過程を考察するために,イソップ物語を題材にして研究を行った.欲求,情緒の状態を監視するデモンを実現し,喉が乾くなどの高次のプランを,水を探すという,より低次のプランに展開する方式を開発した.言語生成過程では,より自然な文章の生成を行うために,視点概念の導入を試みた.以上を統合化した自然言語理解システムのパイロットシステムを実現し,その有効性を確認した.
