実験的および発達的アプロ-チのそれぞれにおいて、次のような成果を得た。1.発話文生成に関わる時間的要因について:発話機能、発話者と対象の地位関係、親密度、発話内容の緊急度の4要因を用い、人工場面における発話生課題を与え、発話開始までの反応時間を測定する実験をおこなった。その結果、発話の語用論的機能、地位関係、親密度、発話の間接性と発話開始反応時間の間の関連を確認できた。そして、これらの要因の間に優位性の序列関係を考えなければならないことが確認できた。また、この実験で反応として得た発話文の適切性を別の被験者群に評定させたところ、適切さの判断には、特に社会的地位関係が効果を与えていることが見いだされた。発話の生成過程におけるプランニングの様相を示す知見といえる。2.発話生成メカニズムの計算モデル:これまでに得られている実験的知見をふまえて、発話韻律に相当する記号列を生成する記号計算モデルをLisp言語で作成した。協調的問題解決機構を用いて、語用論的環境と認知的環境から発話文へ与えられる制約を知識源と見なしながら統合する。発話の文法形式から決定される標準音声形がボトムアップに修正を受けながら、最終的な韻律形を提供する。音声形については語彙間の依存関係による修正と、語用論的環境からの制約による修正を実現している。3.発話韻律獲得の諸相:乳児の対人関係の発達に関する波型仮説を検証するために、新たなケ-ス研究をおこなった。このケ-スでも、質的な異なりをもつ段階が確認できている。

The results of the study are as follows: 1.
