「改革・開放」後の経済発展がもたらした農村人口の広範な地域移動がどのような社会構造の変化の方向を示唆するのかについての分析の一端となることをめざして、本研究では、郷鎮企業での女性出稼ぎ労働者の生活構造と生活意識についての把握を目的としている。本年度は以下の作業を行った。1.研究枠組みの精緻化:女性出稼ぎ労働者の移動は次の枠組みで把握されよう。(1)承包責任制のもとでの家族農業経営は余剰労働力を含んでいる。(2)先進農村における、それら余剰労働力の吸収・行政財源確保の手段としての農村工業化は、さらに進むと、後背農村の余剰労働力をも吸収するようになる。そこで、農村人口の地域移動が生じる。(3)後背農村は農村工業化のための条件を欠く。(4)以上のような家族生存戦略、地域生存戦略のプロセスのなかにあって、女性出稼ぎ労働者は、帰還型、定着型、漂流型の何れかの生活意識を持つ。2.調査票の作成:資料収集、先行研究にかんする検討をへて、調査項目を決定した。(1)移動の背景、(2)移動のプロセスとネットワーク、(3)労働生活とネットワーク、(4)日常生活とネットワーク、(5)女性出稼ぎ労働者の生活意識。これらに基づき、調査票を作成した。この間、中国側研究協力者と電話、ファックスなどで連絡し協議し、予備調査の際に討議した。3.予備調査は、別途研究費により実施し、その結果については、資料集(報告書)を印刷した。また、国内で、調査予定地についてのヒヤリングを行った。4.本調査:別途研究費により、現地調査を依頼し、実施中である。
