项目摘要

本研究は井原西鶴の著作が出版文化史上、どのような意義をもたらしたのかを再検討することを目的として、『好色一代男』江戸版・絵本版、『日本永代蔵』異版といった「重版」「異版」に着目している。本研究の目的を達成するためには、まず、これらの版本に対し翻刻や校合、挿絵の検証などといった基盤研究を行い、その特徴を明らかにする必要がある。そのために①翻刻・書誌的調査などの基盤研究②初版との比較研究を行った。江戸版・絵本版：①　本年度から江戸版の翻刻に着手し、全章のうち四分の一程度、翻刻を終えた。絵本版は既にほぼ全章の翻刻を完了していたが、底本で欠丁となっていた章の内容を明らかにした。②　①の内容を基に『好色一代男』の初版である大坂版と対照し、比較研究を行った。本年度はテクスト面での比較に特に注力し、内容の異同、漢字やルビの多寡、体裁の差異などの観点から、初版との共通点・相違点を調査した。特に絵本版のテクストは大坂版・江戸版のダイジェストであるため、絵本版では大坂版・江戸版のストーリーをどのように取捨選択したかという点から精読を行い、以下のことが判明しつつある。これまで江戸版のテクストは大坂版に不忠実という評価が下されてきたが、江戸版は独自の編集方針に従い、大坂版のテクストの内容をおおむね忠実に再現している。また、絵本版では大坂版・江戸版に登場する特定の人物の描写に対し、改変・省略を行う傾向が見られる。異版：①②　翻刻とともに『日本永代蔵』の初版である三都版との対照を進めており、その成果を毎年、学術誌に発表している。本年度は「『日本永代蔵』異版（西沢版系統）　巻二（大長）・巻三（西長）―翻刻―」を発表した。また、比較検討の結果、異版と三都版のテクスト、挿絵間の関係性について一定の傾向があることが推測された。以上の成果については順次、論文化の準備を進めており、次年度以降、公表する予定である。
