本研究は、四つの班編成を行って、調査研究にあたっている。1(A班)東京工業大学の全留学生を対象に、社会学的・心理学的調査を行うもので、六十年度に立てた二つの仮説の下に、調査研究を実施中である。2(B班)全国二十二の大学・教育研究機関を選び、留学生の受入れ体制についての、専門家や留学生担当教官及び職員の意見を調査した。加えて本学の教官などで座談会を開き、併せて報告書としてとりまとめた。六十一年度の予算で印刷し、近く関係諸機関に配布予定である。3(C班)主にアジア諸国の、理数系中等教育教科書を収集し、各国で現在もっとも流布していると思われる教科書を選んで、目次及び内容の一部を翻訳した。今後これらを分布し、まとめていく準備が、現在進行中である。4(D班)理工系留学生用の日本語教材として、ビデオ教材の作成に取り組んでいる。本学の教官による講義を録画し、(専門三本,人文社会系三本)二種のテキストとして文字化した。六十一年度予算でそろった、このビデオ及びテキストをもとに、今後語彙表やドリルなどを作成し、教材の完成をめざす予定である。
