项目摘要

多様体の研究は、近代数学において最も発展の著しい分野で、種々の角度から研究が行なわれている。本研究計画では、研究手段としての位相的方法と代数的方法とに焦点をしぼり、両方法の長所を併せて、多様体の尚一層の発展を期したものである。本研究計画では、研究手段及び研究対象に応じて、研究代表者・研究分担者を次の各グループに分け、前半における各グループでの研究成果を、後半においてグループ相互間の討論と研究連絡によって、更に発展させた。【I】.位相的方法による研究グループ(戸田,足立,西田(吾),河野)このグループは多様体の代数的位相幾何学、可微分構造、ホモトピー論及びK-理論の研究を行なった。【II】.代数的方法による研究グループ(永田,土方,丸山,上野,吉田)このグループは、代数多様体、複素多様体、代数群及び多様体上の数論の研究を行なった。【III】.解析的方法による研究グループ(山口,渡辺,池部,西田(孝))このグループは、多様体の位相に関連した、位相解析、力学系及びカオス等について研究を行なった。本年度研究計画の成果の内、特に著しいものは、研究発表[雑誌論文]の1〜3番目に示した論文に代表される、【I】のグループにおけるホモトピー論及びコホモロジー論関係の研究と、4,5番目に示した論文に代表される【II】のグループにおける代数幾何学関係の研究である。また、6番目の論文は、【III】のグループにおける研究の一端である。以上の様に、本研究計画は着々とその成果を挙げつつあり、準備中の論文も含めて、将来さらに成果の発表が期待されている。
