项目摘要

子どもの言語障害は、種々のものが含まれる。それらは発生原因や言語の症状によって分類されているが、言語症状以外に運動発達、行為・認識の発達領域に種々の障害を合併していることが多い。とくに幼児期では言語の発達はこれらの言語以外の領域の諸機能と密接に絡み合っていて、言語の障害だけを明確に把握することは困難である。むしろ、言語発達を支えている運動や行為・認識の障害を把握することの方が、幼児期の言語障害をよりよく診断し、療育訓練に資することがより大きいことがある。また、療育訓練には、障害の改善の予測をすることは必須のことであるが、運動や行為・認識面での障害といった言語外症状を正確に把握できれば、より正確な予後を判定しえると言える。本研究は、ことばの遅れを示す精神発達遅滞児、従来から発達性失語症といわれている特異的言語発達遅滞症候群、および機能的構音障害児を対象として、神経学的検査、口部顔面・手指などの随意運動機能(神経学的微徴候)検査、描画・構成機能検査、行為機能を検査する身振りの模倣検査、身体図式の発達検査、およびリズムの検査などの発達神経心理学検査を施行し、言語障害児の「言語外症状」を明らかにし、それらの障害を検査する検査バッテリを考案した。また、それぞれの検査方法の手引を作成した。
