Author tried to rebuild the waste lands in mountain areas of Korea, 1850-1945, by using historical materials, documents, maps, pictures and the other.As a results, some points obtained are as follows.1. Waste lands were dominant in south Korea before the age managed by Japanese government.2. Waste lands were expanded by the shifting cultivation especially in north Korea since 1900.3. Afforestation was tried in waste lands. Some parts of afforestation were success. However these cases were restricted to the upper areas near urban areas that needed much dringking water due to the growth of population.

笔者运用史料、文献、地图、图片等资料，对1850-1945年朝鲜山区的废土改造进行了尝试性的研究，得出以下结论：1.在日本政府管理之前，韩国的荒地占主导地位.自1900年以来，荒地因轮垦而扩大，特别是在朝鲜。在荒原上审判了阿法里。部分地区的造林工作取得了成功。然而，这些病例仅限于由于人口增长而需要大量饮用水的城市地区附近的上层地区。
