The aim of this study is to redefine cultural practices in the perspective of temporal (social, cultural, biological) reorganization. we have done an enquete research on the patterns of leisure activities to the participants in the adult education institutions. They are studying in the cities in Kansai area such as Kyoto, Nagaoka, Kawanishi, Otsu. At the same time, we have conducted the research on the relationship between free time and adult education in UK and France.The survey shows that there are three different patterns--1) the case influencing the variable age, 2) the case influencing the variable sex, 3) the case showing similar behavior between older men and younger women. There is also a great difference between older men and older women in cultural practices. The time allotted to the house work by men is much shorter than that of women, whether they are workers or not.Various surveys in France confirm that the patterns of sexual division of work as well as the sexual division of leisure activities have not greatly changed for last ten years. In the UK,the government is much less interested in supporting the cultural activities such as adult education. We have indicated the social, economic, cultural inequality on leisure when leisure activities are dominated by private comapanies.

本研究的目的是从时间（社会、文化、生物）重组的角度重新定义文化实践。本研究对成人教育机构参与者的休闲活动模式进行了问卷调查。他们在关西地区的城市学习，如京都，长冈，川西，大津。与此同时，我们对英国和法国的自由时间与成人教育的关系进行了研究，结果表明，自由时间与成人教育的关系存在三种不同的模式：1）影响年龄变量的情况; 2）影响性别变量的情况; 3）老年男性与年轻女性行为相似的情况。老年男子和老年妇女在文化习俗方面也有很大差异。无论男子是否是工人，分配给男子做家务的时间都比妇女短得多，法国的各种调查证实，过去十年来，男女分工以及男女分工从事休闲活动的模式没有发生很大变化。在英国，政府对支持成人教育等文化活动的兴趣要小得多。指出了在休闲活动由私人公司主导的情况下，社会、经济、文化在休闲方面的不平等。
