项目摘要

本研究の目的は、人間が記憶活動を行う際に、記憶方略および記憶状態に対するモニタリング(監視)がぞの程度正確になされるかを実験心理学的手法により検討することにある。一般成人(大学生・短期大学生)を対象に、自由再生課題を用いた心理学的記憶実験を実施し、記憶モニタリングの正確度を明らかにする。記憶モニタリングに関連する実験測度として、(a)再生可能項目数の予想、(b)再生可能性判断、(c)学習容易性判断、の3つを取り上げる。それぞれの実験測度と実際の記憶課題成績とのズレの大きさを中心にデータ解析を行う。当初の研究計画のとおりに記憶実験が行われ、主として、次のような新たな知見が得られた。1.再生可能項目数の予想に反映される記憶モニタリングは、実際の再生成績に比べて、刺激項目の呈示速度などの実験変数の影響がさほどみられず、十分な感度(sensitivity)をそなえているとはいいがたい。2.しかし、再生可能項目数の予想による記憶モニタリングの正確度は、項目リストの学習の進行にともなって変化し得る。ただし、その正確度は必ずしも直線的に向上するわけではない。3.再生可能性判断と学習容易性判断とを比較検討したところ、実際の再生成績との相関は、再生可能性判断の方が学習容易性判断よりもやや高かった。4.再生可能性判断と学習容易性判断のいずれにおいても、その判断の正確である者が必ずしも記憶方略の選択に巧みであるとは限らない。上記の1と2の研究結果は、清水(1994)にまとめ公表した。同じく3と4の結果は、日本心理学会(1994)にて発表し、現在、論文を執筆中である。また、2の結果をさらに詳しく検討する実験を計画中である。
