Development of a Learning Support System Using a Mobile Computer with Pen-based Interface

为儿童开发了一种使用移动计算机的学习支持系统。该系统选择了夏普的“Zaurus”，一种可用于输入数据的笔式界面。由于移动电脑“Zaurus”最初是为办公室工作人员开发的，儿童很难使用。为了解决这个问题，我们开发了一个使用“插件工具包”的定制程序。通过使用这个学习支持系统，学生们可以1)在户外方便地收集信息；2)彼此方便地交换资料；3)扩大他们的好奇心。

A learning support system using a mobile computer has been developed for children. A SHARP's "Zaurus", pen-based interface which was available to input data, was selected for the system. As a mobile computer "Zaurus" was originally developed for office workers, it was difficult for children to use. In order to solve this problem a tailored program using "ADDIN tool kit" was developed.By using this learning support system, students are1) able to gather information easily outdoors2) able to exchange their data easily each othre3) able to expand their curiosity.
