Resouces of animal feces by microbial decomposition

porpose : In our university, usually workmen incinerate animal feces and garbage, but we intend to exchage useful material from disposal of animal feces and garbage with some kinds of the purchased microorganisms.sampling : our facilities have been making the most of that advantage because of getting animal feces in each animal house, then they were weighed and treated.machine : We set the apparatus of rapid, good conditioned fermentation by microbial decomposition (N.I.Tecnosales Co.Tokyo).results : In 7 times sampling (2 weeks) 112kg of feces and garbage from the rabbit, guinea pig and rat rooms. After 2 weeks we get about 70kg of decomposition, materials from other animals also derived almost same results. During these phenomena began we have bad-smelling around of the apparatus, I don't check these offensive odor clearly, I guess some compounds for example ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan etc.It is very important that when we start this type of treatment we need to take a measure to meet the situation of deodorization.
