项目摘要

1、ホリスティック教育の理論的課題を明確にするために,“Holistic Education Review"誌のバック・ナンバーをはじめ北米のホリスティック教育関連資料を収集し、そこでの問題点を整理して、その論点に対する筆者の考察を試みた。そこで明確になったホリスティック教育の理論的課題に取り組むために、ホ-リズムの提唱者であるジャン・スマッツの方法論を研究したうえで、主としてシステム論的アプローチを従来の教育人間学の手法に取り入れた「ホリスティック教育人間学」を構想した。その概要は、拙論「ホリスティック教育人間学に向けての試論:<天地の化育>の現代的理解モデル」(和田修二編『教育的日常の再構築』玉川大学出版部、1996年3月刊、所収)において公刊した。2、日本でのオルタナティブな実践において広く影響を持ちつつあるアドラ-心理学的方法に注目し、それとホリスティック思想やホリスティック教育との関連を考察した。その成果は、図書:高尾利数・平出宣一・手塚郁恵・吉田敦彦編『喜びはいじめを越える:ホリスティックとアドラ-の合流』(春秋社、1996年4月刊行予定、再校ゲラ済み)所収の、拙論「第3章ホリスティックな教育とは何か」「終章アドラ-心理学とホリスティック教育の合流」において公刊した。3、オルタナティブ教育の中でも、シュタイナ-教育(元シュタイナ-学校教師ジェフリー・ケーン氏の来日を機に交流会)、フリースクール(「惑星学校」、「なわて遊学場」、「野並子ども村」など)、新潟県の公立小・中学校(小千谷小、十日町南中)などの動向について、学校訪問やミーティングを行い、現在収集した情報をホリスティック教育の立場から整理・研究中である。
