本年度の研究は、これまでの主な研究対象であった百済地域での墓制研究の深化を進めるとともに、百済の墓制との比較対象として、楽浪漢墓を選択し、研究を進めることとした。百済の墓制関係としては、横穴式石室に埋葬された木棺の形態復元と、木棺に用いられた装飾金具の研究を進めた。その良好な資料は、植民地時代の日本人研究者による未公表資料に存在するため、東洋文庫所蔵の梅原考古資料のうち、百済関係の資料を閲覧し、当時の発掘状況の復元に努めた。その結果、陵山里東古墳群の調査日誌の閲覧により、当時の調査状況や、出土遺物についての情報を得ることができた。また、益山双陵出土品の中に、これまで知られていなかった装飾金具が存在することがわかり、百済地域木棺の装飾金具の変遷を知る上での見通しを立てることができた。楽浪漢墓関係では、百済や高句麗の横穴式石室墳との関係を考えるために、横穴式博室墳の墓制・葬制上の特徴を研究することとした。特に植民地時代に日本人研究者によって調査されたが成果が未公表であった、貞柏里219・221・227号墳、石岩里255・266号墳、南井里53・50・120号墳、将進里45号墳資料を、東洋文庫所蔵の梅原考古資料で閲覧し、出土状況を検討した。その結果、百済や高句麗の木棺と同じような釘留めの木棺の存在を確認するとともに、木棺の配置状況を復元することができ、百済や高句麗古墳における木棺の使用や、それをめぐる葬制の起源を考える上での手がかりを得ることができた。
