本年度は、まず、EU(欧州連合)、米国およびカナダにおける金融機関の計算・ディスクロージャー規整の調査研究を行なったが、なかでもドイツにおける保険会社の計算規整の調査に多くの時間を充てた。これは、保険会社の計算書類に関するECのディレクディブが1994年にドイツで国内法化されたことに伴い、ドイツ国内で保険会社の計算規整を扱う文献が数多く出版されたこと、およびわが国においても1995年6月7日に半世紀ぶりの大改正となる「保険業法」が公布され(1996年4月1日施行)、保険会社の計算・ディスクロージャー規整の研究が当面の最重要課題になると考えられたことによっている。したがって、研究成果の公表に関しても、ひとまず、テーマを保険会社の計算・ディスクロージャー規整の比較法的研究(わが国新保険業法のもとでの計算・ディスクロージャー規整の検討を含む)に限定して行ないたいと考えている。ただし、わが国の保険会社の計算・ディスクロージャー規整に関して重要となる保険業法施行規正が1996年2月29日にようやく公布されたばかりであり、右規正の検討になお時間を要すると考えられることから、具体的な公表時期としては1996年9月以降を予定している。以上のように、ひとまず保険会社の計算・ディスクロージャー規整に関する研究をまとめたうえで、右成果を基礎として、金融機関全体の計算・ディスクロージャー規整の研究を続け、最終的な研究成果の公表は1997年に行ないたいと考えている。
