1870年代に展開された初期ニーチェによる「美的な理性批判」の帰趨を、1880年代における「力」の思想における「存在論的な遠近法主義」という概念の中に認め、その主張が有する批判的なポテンシャルを理論的に明らかにした。これをふまえ、アドルノによる「啓蒙の弁証法批判」の延長線上にある、「美学」的観点からの社会批判理論の内実に関して考察した。具体的には、アドル後期の主著である『美の理論』が研究の対象として取り上げられた。ますは、この書に先行する主要な著作である『啓蒙の弁証法』ならびに『否定弁証法』の内実が包括的に考察された。この成果をふまえ、とりわけベンヤミンの影響下で形成された「自然史の理念」に注目しながら、『美の理論』が有する現代的な意義が理論的に明らかにされた。ニーチェとアドルノの両者は、現存する合理性への批判を「美的なもの」の特性に依拠しつつ展開しているという点で、注目すべき類縁性を有するものである。このような観点のもと、両者の「美学」を体系的に比較検討する論考を取り纏めた。これは近日中に著書として公刊する予定である。並びに、この論考を纏める過程において参照された現代の美学的哲学者の著作(R.Bubner)の邦訳書を作成し、公刊の予定にある。
