(1) Design Evaluation of Web Pages in E-commerce SitesWe have proposed a Markov chain model for the process of reaching the target page by successively selecting the links on the web pages in an e-commerce site. Our model has been applied to the evaluation of the ticket reservation web sites of three airline companies.(2) Modeling and Design of Cellular Mobile Communication NetworksWe have proposed a renewal process model to evaluate the number of cell crossings during each session in a cellular mobile communication network. Our model has been used to design the optimal dynamic mobility management for terminal locations.(3) Routing and Wavelength Assignment for Large-Scale WDM Optical NetworksWe have proposed two fast routing and wavelength assignment algorithms for large-scale wavelength-division-multiplexing optical networks where each transmission request is served by an all-optical lightpath without wavelength conversion.
