项目摘要

In my research I aimed to compare the new edition of Kaempfer's "Heutiges Japan" in the "Complete Works of Kaempfer" with its old edition "Geschichte und Beschreibung von Japan". My intention was to research whether the traditional image over Kaempfer is now to be renewed or not. Concletely my aims were: (1) To make a datebase of the comparison of the old and new edition, (2) To list the important points of the result of comparison, (3) To criticize the conventional Japanese translations, and (4) To consider the possibility of the new Japanese translation.As the result of the research I found following tow problems. (A) Not all the manuscripts which are to be found in the British Library are written by Kaempfer himself. Another men were concerned in the making of manuscripts. (B) The rewriting of Dohm was not partial but total. So it is not easy to say where are the rewritten parts of Dohm and where are the original parts of Kaempfer.So I devided the "Heutiges Japan" into tow parts: parts which were written by Kaempfer aud parts which are written by another men. And part to part I compared "Heutiges Japan" with "Geschichte und Beschreibung von Japan". The results are: (I) In the edition of Dohm's "Geschichte und Beschreibung von Japan" there are many parts, which are rewritten by Dohm with his value judgment. But there are also parts, which are not rewritten by Dohm. (II) It is true that the edition of Dohm has problems. But they are not too profound to renew the traditional image over Kaempfer.

在我的研究中，我的目的是比较《坎普弗尔全集》中坎普弗尔新版本的“Heutiges Japan”与其旧版本的“Geschichte und Beschreibung von Japan”。我的目的是研究坎普弗尔的传统形象现在是否需要更新。具体而言，我的目的是：(1)建立一个新旧版本比较的数据库；(2)列出比较结果的要点；(3)批评传统的日语翻译；(4)考虑新日语翻译的可能性。作为研究的结果，我发现以下两个问题。(A)并非所有在大英图书馆能找到的手稿都是坎普弗尔自己写的。另一些人则参与制作手稿。(B)《多姆》的改写不是部分的，而是全部的。因此，很难说哪里是《多姆》的改写部分，哪里是《坎普弗尔》的原始部分。所以我把《日下》分成两部分：一部分是坎普费尔写的，另一部分是其他人写的。第一部分比较了“Heutiges Japan”和“Geschichte und Beschreibung von Japan”结果是：(1)在多姆的《日本历史与历史》的版本中，多姆用自己的价值判断重写了许多部分。但也有一些部分没有被多姆重写。（二）《多姆》的版本确实存在问题。但它们并不太深刻，不足以重塑坎普弗尔的传统形象。
