位相的場の理論は,共形場理論など数理物理における理論の枠組みを定式化したものでAtiyahらによって,定式化された.研究分担者の研究対象である,ホモトピー位相場の理論は,位相的場の理論の一般化であり,多様体の間の写像のホモトピー類とその間のコボルディズムのカテゴリーから,線形空間と線形写像のカテゴリーへのファンクターとして,定式化することができる.本年度は特に,群作用をこめた理論に注目して,クロスカテゴリーにおける構成により,淡中カテゴリーの理論の拡張の研究を行った.応用として,群を与えることによって定まる,3次元多様体の量子位相不変量を定義した.ホモトピー位相場の理論は,ループ空間上のベクトル束の接続のホロノミーとも関連している.本年度は,自由ループ空間のホモロジー群の反復積分による記述に基づいて,代数的位相幾何学の視点からも,ホモトピー位相場の理論を研究した.さらに,自由ループ空間のホモロジー群に,ストリングトポロジーから構成されるリー・ポアソン代数の構造との関連について,いくつかの新しい知見を得た.

The theory of phase field is not the same as that of conformal field theory.
