项目摘要

今年の実績は、(1)立命館大学21世紀COEプログラム主催×ロンドン大学SOAS日本宗教研究センター共催の国際シンポジウム「The Power of Ritual:儀礼の力-学際的視座から見た中世宗教の実践世界-」で、研究発表「入洛する神輿・神木と「神威」」を行った。(2)仏教的世界観の構築に関わった中世日本の職能民に関する研究発表として、慶応義塾大学巡礼記研究会研究集会にて「室町期京都の「霊場」と職能民-聖俗の相克をめぐって-」を発表。(3)宗教を文化史研究の対象にする際の研究手法の追究として、論文「中世日本文化研究の覚え書き-「歴史叙述」における文化の位相を中心に-」を発表。(4)立命館大学オープン・リサーチセンター主催、風俗画研究会にて、研究発表「描かれた神輿・神木-都市に対する示威イメージ-」を発表した。(1)では、中世に頻発した仏教による「神威」の発動のメカニズムを「神輿入洛」という行為に捉え、これを宗教的な一連の動き=儀礼として解釈した。これによって、中世の政治システムだけでは割り切れない「神威」の存在を史料に表された表現や絵画史料によって明らかにした。(2)は、宗教技能を持つ中世職能民を中世社会に位置づけるための研究。中世に存在した「仏教的世界観」や「宗教景観」を創ったと考えられる職能民の宗教技能を捉えながら、その歴史的位置づけを試みた。(3)は、海外の日本研究手法に鑑みながら日本文化史研究の手法を論じたもの。海外における日本研究は、歴史や文学にかかわらず、「日本学」や「アジア学」の枠組みで解釈されているため、巨視的な視点から日本を捉えることに成功しているが、視覚的なものだけを文化の対象として捉える研究手法が根強く存在しているため、一部、日本の歴史的文脈が無視されたままの偏った文化研究が流通している現状に対し、本論文では、これらの方法論を経験的に踏まえ批判を行った。

(3)A Study of the International Research Methods in the Study of Religious Cultural History is presented in the paper "A Book on the Study of Medieval Japanese Culture-" Historical Narrative "and" Cultural Phase Center ". (4)Ritsumeikan University's main event, Genre Painting Research Association, research form "Description of the gods-city demonstrations" was presented (1)In the Middle Ages, the movement of "divine power" was carried out in a series of activities, such as ritual and religious activities. The political system of the Middle Ages is divided into two parts: the existence of "divine power" and the historical data of "painting." (2)A Study on the Role of Religious Skills in the Middle Ages and the Position of People in the Middle Ages In the Middle Ages, there was a "religious world" and a "religious scene". (3)On the methods of Japanese cultural history research Overseas Japanese Studies, History, Literature, Japanese Studies, Japanese Studies This paper discusses the methodology of Japanese cultural studies, which is based on the current situation of Japanese cultural studies.
