Research on learning support systems for experiment aiming problem exploration

我们实现了一个计算机工具，以帮助学习者收集和处理数据的实验室实验介绍物理课程。我们使用该工具记录了学习者在一门课程中的活动，并对记录进行分析以发现问题。发现的问题是必要的，为学习者解决如下;可能由不完整的实验计划引起的测量参数的疏忽、可能由不适当的测量引起的不自然的测量值、计算公式中的错误、不适当的有效数字等。为了从记录在数据处理工具中的信息中检测这些有问题的状态，我们在工具中定义了条件并实现了一个辅助模块。给学习者的建议分为两类。一是在实验过程中提示学习者进行修正，因为发现的问题是必不可少的。二是为学习者提供实验后讨论的问题。为了及时给学习者提供建议，该工具从记录的信息中掌握实验的进展情况。为了加深对实验结果的讨论，有时需要通过补充实验来收集数据。但由于时间的限制，在课堂上很难。我们实现了一个数据共享工具，学习者可以通过该工具检索其他学习者的数据来比较自己的学习结果。

We implemented a computer tool to assist learners to collect and to process data for laboratory experiments on introductory physics courses. We used this tool to record learners' activity in a course, and analyzed the record to find problems. Found issues that are necessary for learners to be addressed are as follows; oversight of measurement parameters which may be caused by incomplete experiment plans, unnatural measured values which may be caused by inappropriate measurement, errors in calculation formula, inappropriate significant digits, etc.In order to detect these problematic states from information recorded in the data processing tool, we defined conditions and implemented an assistance module in the tool. Advice given to learners is classified into two categories. One is to prompt learners to correction in the middle of experiment because detected issues are essential. The other is to provide learners issues to discuss after the experiment. In order to give learners advice timely, the tool grasps progress of experiment from recorded information.To deepen discussion about results of experiment, it is sometimes necessary to collect data by supplemental experiment. But it is difficult in class because of time limitation. We realized a data sharing tool, with which learners retrieve other learner's data to compare their own results.
