项目摘要

Recent archaeological controversy on the beginning of Yayoi Period dating can't be proceeded only with Japanese materials. We need to reexamine the cultural materials of 1st millenium BC from Liaoning Province especially, because it is important region to link the Central Prains of China, Korean Peninsula and Japanese Islands historically.On this research project, we proceeded to reexamine the artifacts excavated from Muyangcheng and its neighboring sites, which are all the collection of the Department of Archaeology, University of Tokyo. In addition, we made a field survey of some ruins of fortress in Liaoning, Hebei and Shandong Province.By archaeological analysis of Muyangcheng Group 1 ware which was dated before building Muyangcheng, we reconsructed the historical sequence of Liaodong peninsula from Western Zhou Period to Warring States Period. As the result of it, we concluded that dating of Bronze dagger in Liaodong region was to be earlier than Japanese archaeologists estimated.Muyangcheng Group 2 and 3 ware which was dated after building Muyangcheng were consisted of Hang Dynasty ware mainly, but some of them should be dated 3rd century BC,Warring States Period. And the most of Roof Tiles excavated from Muyangcheng were of Western Hang, but some of them were to be dated Late Warring States Period.By these new data, we can reach the conclusion that the dating of building Muyangcheng should be Late Warring States Period: earlier than Japanese archaeologists estimated, initial Hang Dynasty. Muyangcheng is ancient fortress build by Yan when it extended its territory to Liaodong region, and it continued to be used to Hang Dynasty.The historical process of Yan' s expansion to Liaoning region recorded in Shi-ji was not confirmed archaeologically. But by reexamining the artifacts excavated from Muyangcheng on this recearch project, we can clarify a part of its process.

最近关于弥生时代开始年代的考古学争论不能仅用日本材料来进行。我们特别需要重新审视辽宁省的公元前一千年文化资料，因为它在历史上是连接中国中原、朝鲜半岛和日本列岛的重要地区。在这个研究项目中，我们着手重新审视东京大学考古学系收藏的牧羊城及其周边遗址出土的文物。此外，我们还对辽宁、河北、山东等地的一些城塞遗址进行了实地考察，通过对牧羊城建成前的牧羊城第一组器物的考古分析，重建了辽东半岛从西周到战国的历史序列。由此推断，辽东地区青铜匕首的年代比日本考古学家估计的要早。牧羊城建成后出土的牧羊城二、三组器物以汉代器物为主，但也有部分器物的年代应为公元前三世纪战国时期。而牧羊城出土的瓦大部分是西汉的，但也有一些是战国晚期的。通过这些新的资料，我们可以得出结论，牧羊城的建筑年代应该是战国晚期：比日本考古学家估计的早，为汉代初期。牧羊城是燕国扩张辽东地区时所建的古城池，一直沿用至汉代。《史记》记载的燕国扩张辽宁地区的历史过程，尚未得到考古证实。但通过重新审视本研究项目中牧阳城出土的文物，我们可以弄清楚其部分过程。
