平成18年度は,学生相談機関のオリエンテーションの手法の差異が学生相談機関の周知度,来談意思にどのような効果を与えるかについて明らかにすることを目的として、同一の大学で時期を変えて調査を行い,学生の学生相談機関へのイメージの変化の要因を差くぐることを目的に調査研究を行った。被験者は私立A大学1〜4年生(事前調査297人,事後調査210人)であり、調査時期は、事前調査:2006年5月,事後調査:2006年7月であった。被験者は学生相談機関の説明の手法により4群に分けられた。4群の周知度得点の事前-事後の変化を見るために対応のあるサンプルのt検定を行ったところ,少人数・口頭説明群,多人数・視覚情報説明群,多人数・口頭説明群の3群でいずれも事後得点が有意に高かった。次に,事前-事後の変化量の群間差について明らかにするために分散分析を行ったところ,統計的に有意であり、少人数・口頭説明群が統制群より有意に変化量が大きかった。4群の来談意思得点の事前-事後の変化を見るために対応のあるサンプルのt検定を行ったところ,少人数・口頭説明群,統制群で事後得点が有意に高かった。多人数・視覚情報説明群については事後得点が有意に高い傾向が見られた。次に,事前-事後の変化量の群間差について明らかにするために分散分析を行ったところ,統計的に有意な傾向が,少人数・口頭説明群が他の3群に比べて有意に変化量が大きかった。アメリカでの研究と同様,オリエンテーションの手法は学生相談機関の周知度,来談意思に影響を与え,多人数より少人数,また,口頭のみの説明より視覚情報を活用した説明の方が効果的であることが示唆された。なお、研究の成果の一部は、心理臨床学会(2007年9月)で発表される予定である。
