日本とドイツの成人(日本の場合は、教師、大学生、保護者グループを設定)を対象に、科学に対する態度と科学的知識を問うアンケート調査を実施し、調査結果の比較考察を行なった。また、以前に行なった高校1年生の科学に対する態度の調査結果との比較考察により、わが国の科学に対する教育の実態の解明と問題点の追究を目指した。
