LTB4受容体BLT1, BLT2を対象に、受容体の分子解剖、生体内リガンドの同定、遺伝子欠損マウスの表現型解析を行った。BLT1のGタンパク質認識部位の同定、BLT2の形質膜発現におけるヘリックス8の役割の解明、BLT2の生体内リガンドの同定に成功した。遺伝子欠損マウスの解析から、樹状細胞に発現するBLT1がTh1型免疫反応を促進すること、BLT2が腸管炎症に保護的に作用することを見いだした。
