中国の9都市における914軒の住宅を対象にアンケート調査とメーター読み取り調査を実施した。また, 都市部の集合住宅におけるエネルギー消費と室内環境の実態を把握するため, 上海, 長沙, ハルビン, 北京, 大連, 瀋陽の6都市において, 各都市2軒ずつ合計12件の集合住宅におけるエネルギー消費量と室内外温度を測定し, ピーク電力を分析した。実測結果を基に, 標準モデル住宅を対象とした数値計算を行い, 各種省エネ手法に対する代表都市の暖冷房負荷の削減効果を検証した。
