项目摘要

本年度実施した主な内容は、1.ウィリアムズ症候群(WS)児のコミュニケーション特性に関する論文の執筆及び投稿2.WS患者のコミュニケーション能力及び言語能力に関する研究データの取得及び分析3.1.2.の成果の学会発表及び海外の研究室での研究発表であった。1.では、WS児が相手の注意に合わせて会話する傾向が健常児とは異なること、そのことが彼らのコミュニケーションの問題と関わっている可能性を指摘した論文が採択され、Research in Developmental Disabilities誌に刊行された。加えて、WS児は会話の全体量としては健常児とは変わらないが、相手の誤解を修正して意思疎通を図ることが困難である可能性を指摘した論文を投稿し、その修正を行った。この論文は、新年度ではあるが、2010年4月3日に、Journal of Neurolinguistics誌に論文が受諾され、採録が決定した。2.では、WS児が質問に対して適切に答えることが出来るか検討することをテーマとした研究、及び、WS児・者の文法理解能力の中で特に困難を示す領域があるかどうか検討することをテーマとした研究において、2008年度から引き続きデータを取得した。3.では、研究成果を、第14回ヨーロッパ発達心理学会にてポスター発表、日米脳研究ワークショップにてポスター発表、ロンドン大学のKarmiloff-Smith博士の研究室を訪問し今までの研究のまとめを研究会で口頭発表した。研究成果としては、一連の研究によりWS児が人と積極的に関わろうとしつつも、話題を共有しようという能力または動機に困難を抱えるという障害背景を理論化できた点が最も意義として大きいと考える。今後も、この理論が正しいかどうかを広く伝え研究し、検証していく必要がある。
