项目摘要

本研究は、以下の(1)、(2)の活動を同時並行的に進め、「村民自治」研究全体に関する研究代表者(緒方)なりの結論を導くことができた。(1)「村民自治」をめぐる人類学、社会学、政治学の諸理論、及び中国南北の宗族の集住や社会的結合関係をめぐる違いの問題のほか、政治と離れた民間信仰における村落社会内の社会的結合関係についても、先行研究を整理することで、既存の研究の問題点や、「村民自治」研究になかった新たな視点を提示することができた。(2)現地調査地は、研究代表者が博士論文作成過程でデータを収集している、遼寧省北部の内陸農村と黄海島嶼部漁村である。フィールドワークを通じて、内陸農村と島嶼部漁村の各村落の政治生活を決定づけていると思われる社会経済的構造として、自然村の構成や宗族などの社会的な要素、農業や漁業の生業システムと戦略などの経済的な要素の相互連関について明らかにすることができた。また本研究が比較の対象としている、広東省河源市と梅州市の客家が暮らす農村部と、広東省の南澳島の漁村についても、2度にわたり予備調査を実施した。7月と12月の予備調査では、自然村の構成や宗族の分布や活動などの社会的な要素、また農業や漁業の生業システムと戦略などの経済的な要素、人の移動から見た地域社会の歴史的要素など民族誌を作成するための基礎的データの収集を行った。今後は、よりミクロレベルで農村や漁村の人々について、出身、移住の経緯、経済階層、現在の居住環境、教育水準等の違いにより、「村民自治」に対する政治意識の差が生じるのかについて考察を加える。また様々な背景をもつ村の村民委員会の状況を包括し比較分析することのできる理論フレームの構築を目指す。現段階の研究成果については、学会での研究発表や学術雑誌論文に投稿済みである。

This study leads to the conclusion of the representative of the study (Ogata) concerning the simultaneous progress of the following activities (1) and (2).
