项目摘要

本研究は、感情経験(生起・表出)プロセスおよび対人関係の中で生じる感情推論プロセスについて多角的に検討し感情の文化・社会的性質の解明を行うことを目的としている。この際特に、「人の心の働きは社会・文化に参加することを通じて形作られる」という文化心理学の理論的枠組みに準拠し、感情生起・表出および推論プロセスと文化的習慣とのかかわりに着目した実証研究を行うこととした。さらにこのような基礎的・実証的研究と併せ、対人コミュニケーションの中での感情の役割を解明することにより、異文化理解や文化的適応のあり方を検討し、心の健康と文化的適応に関連する諸分野への貢献を目指す。平成19年度は、(1)日米における感情推論とその基盤となる「感情概念」形成(2)文化の中で生まれる感情的コミュニケーションと文化的な適応・不適応との関連、に着目した研究を行った。(1)については平成18年度に引き続き、自己と他者の情報量を統制したスクリプトおよび写真刺激を呈示した際の人々の感情推論の行い方に着目した研究を日米で行い、成果を国内外の学会にて報告した。(2)については、不適応や適応の指標と、日々の感情表出・感情経験の変動量との関係を調べる研究を日米で行った。研究遂行にあたり、海外との共同研究者(ミシガン大学北山忍教授、スタンフォード大学ヘーゼル・マーカス教授との綿密な打ち合わせを行い、日米での研究を実行、研究成果の報告を日米両国で行った。
