Effects of vitamin B6 on children with autism : a randomized controlled trial

为了研究预测自闭症儿童维生素B6反应性的因素，我们进行了一项干预研究，有17名儿童参与。他们在干预前后都完成了神经学和血液检查。在前2周，以5mg/kg的剂量给予维生素B6。在接下来的2周内，以10mg/kg的剂量给予维生素B6。参与者中，3例被判定为“有效”。我们比较了“有效”组和“无效”组的特征和生物标志物。我们发现，同时出现“对声音过敏”和“笨拙”或“低血浆谷氨酰胺浓度”预示着维生素B6的反应。

To investigate the factors that predict vitamin B6 responsiveness in children with autism, we conducted an intervention study and 17 children have participated. They all completed the neurological and blood tests before and after the intervention. In the first 2 weeks, vitamin B6 was given in doses of 5mg/kg. In the following 2 weeks, vitamin B6 was given in doses of 10mg/kg. Among the participants, 3 cases were judged as "effective". We compared the characteristics and biomarkers between "effective" group and "ineffective" group. We found that simultaneously having "hypersensitivity to sound" and "clumsiness" or "low plasma concentration of glutamine" predicted the vitamin B6 responsiveness.
