项目摘要

本研究の目的は、申請者の提案する「地図史料批判」という手法を用いて20世紀初頭のシルクロード探検隊が作成した各種の地図を解析することで、所在地が不明となっている探険隊の調査対象地点を系統的に解明し、過去と現在の成果を連結することにある。そのために、シルクロード探検隊の調査対象となった遺跡地点データを古地図全域にわたって収集し、遺跡照合結果をまとめた「シルクロード遺跡データベース」（以下、遺跡データベース）を作成する。平成２６年度の研究事業は、データベース作成に向けた作業過程において主に四つの成果があった。(1) 遺跡データベースの基礎データとなる「スタイン地名データベース」の完成、(2) 日本・中国・英国所蔵古写真の予備調査、(3) 遺跡照合の基礎データとなるシルクロード地帯の遺跡踏査、(4)国内および国外での遺跡照合結果の公刊、の四点である。本研究の基礎作業は、従来注目されることのなかった古地図の誤差に着目し、そのデータを蓄積して地図上に書かれた地物（＝遺跡）の実際の所在地を算出するところにある。そこで、平成26年度は基礎データとなる地名データ（特に遺跡地名）の収集を集中的に行い、スタインが作成した地名索引“Index of Local Names”に記入されていなかった約800の遺跡地名を追加し、2010年以来作成を継続していた「スタイン地名データベース」を完成した。ついで、日本国内およびイギリスにおける古写真の所蔵状況を進め、さらに中国においても1920年代末から30年代にかけて撮影された写真が残されていることが判明した。これらの画像資料については、平成27年度以降に順次調査を進める予定である。また、現地調査としては甘粛省敦煌市および安西県周辺の遺跡踏査を行い、古地図上に記された遺跡との対応関係を確定した。これらの成果はまずウェブサイトで公開し、順次国内外の学会や学術誌での公表を進めている。

The purpose of this study is to apply the applicant's proposal for "criticism of geological historical materials" and methods to the exploration team at the beginning of the 20th century to create a variety of geological data analysis, location unknown, exploration team survey target location, systematic explanation, past and present results link. The basic work of this study is to calculate the actual location of the ancient site. In 2010, we created the Index of Local Names and added about 800 historical site names. Since 2010, we have created the Index of Local Names. In the late 1920s and 1930s in China, the situation of ancient photos in Japan has been improved and clarified. The data of the portrait was collected in the order of 27 years. The site survey and investigation of Dunhuang City and Anxi City in Gansu Province confirmed the relationship between the site and the ancient site. The achievements of this research are open to the public, and the achievements of academic societies and journals at home and abroad are advanced.
