線形常微分方程式のモノドロミーを不変に保ちながら特異点での特性指数を整数だけずらす変換をシュレジンガー変換という。パンルヴェ方程式等のモノドロミー保存変形方程式にとっては，その離散的な対称性を与える重要な変換である。あるいはシュレジンガー変換そのものがパンルヴェ方程式の差分類似と看做せる点で離散力学系，離散可積分系の観点から重要な研究対象である。研究代表者は，あるクラスのシュレジンガー変換が Hermite-Pade 近似およびその双対問題を使って構成できることを発見している(眞野智行氏との共同研究)。 この結果は，対象を確定特異点のみではなく不確定特異点をも許す一般的な状況にも拡 張された。また、この数年の間に明らかになって来た離散パンルヴェ方 程式，およびその対称性とクラスター代数との関係について、mutation combinatorics と呼ぶグラフの組み合わせ的な操作からワイル群の双有理的な実現が構成されることを増田哲氏，大久保直人氏との共同研究によって示している。さらに，ある種の高階 q-差分パンルヴェ方程式とそのワイル群対称性のクラスター代数からの導出を与え，この成果を大久保直人氏，増田哲氏との共著論文として，学術雑誌 RIMS Koukyuroku Bessatsu から出版した。令和4年度は，上述のクラスター代数とグラフの組み合わせ的に導出される q-差分 パンルヴェ方程式を含むより一般なワイル群の双有理変換について，付随する力学系の「ダルブー座標」を反対称な整数行列の標準化という古典的な主題を用いることで構成した。また懸案であった「タウ函数」を非正規クラスター代数を用いることで，自然に導出することに成功した(大久保直人氏，寺嶋郁二氏，増田哲氏，水野勇磨氏との共同研究)。これらは当該研究領域において，今後，基礎的かつ重要な成果になるものと認識している。
