培養骨髄細胞と多血小板血漿を用いた骨組織再生治療において、in vitroにおけるアルカリフォスファターゼ活性が高い骨髄細胞と、血小板濃度が高い多血小板血漿の組み合わせが最も骨再生に適していることを明らかにした。この結果に基づき、培養骨髄細胞と多血小板血漿を用いた仮骨延長術の臨床研究を継続し、大腿骨延長における細胞治療効果を確認した。また、その治療効果は移植細胞数および骨芽細胞への分化度に関連していたが、血小板数との関連は認めなかった。
