子宮頸癌の抗がん剤感受性に関わる分子生物学的因子を探索し、分子標的治療やテーラーメイド医療に結びつけるため、抗がん剤暴露によるアポトーシス関連蛋白の発現解析を行った。pAktおよびpmTORの2つのアポトーシス抑制系蛋白の発現が抵抗性細胞では有意に高い発現を示していた。治療前の子宮頸癌生検組織を用いた免疫染色の解析でが、pAktおよびpmTORの治療前組織での高発現は、独立した予後不良因子であることが判明した。mTOR阻害剤を併用した化学療法が、予後不良の子宮頚癌治療の至適治療となる可能性が示された。
