项目摘要

1.研究内容本研究課題は、文献資料およびインタビュー資料から、インドシナ戦争・ベトナム戦争期に南部ベトナムの中心都市であったホーチミン市(旧名サイゴン市)の人口流入現象を解明するものである。平成21年度には、ベトナムでの文献調査とインタビュー調査、および日本での成果発表(学会発表)を行った。ホーチミン市国家第一文書館において、ベトナム共和国行政史料を中心とする行政文書、特にゴー・ディン・ジェム大統領府文書および首相府文書の収集を行った。当時の人口流入による都市問題を、ベトナム共和国政府がどう解釈しどう対応しようとしたのかと、1954年のジュネーブ協定による北部からの難民流入に対する政策が明らかになった。インタビュー調査は、1950年代生まれを中心とするホーチミン市の住民45名(家族)に対し、家族史と移住史のインタビユーを行った。その結果、農業従事者の直接の都市流入は少なく、移住の契機は、商業活動や従軍、兵役逃れ、革命活動によるものが多いことが判明した。これらの現地調査はホーチミン市人文社会大学の協力によって行われた。2.研究の意義と重要性研究対象時期のホーチミン市の人口流入現象は、ベトナム近代史最大の事件であるベトナム戦争の国内的要因として重要である。本研究の結果、ベトナム共和国政府が移住政策に積極的に関与したこと、農民の戦乱からの避難による移住は少なく、商人や手工業者の移住が多いことが明らかになった。
