项目摘要

イラン・イスラム共和国で青銅器時代の未報告土器資料を調査した。イラン系王朝成立期(鉄器時代)前段階に当たる青銅器時代の研究は申請時課題のひとつとした。対象資料中にはその際初期段階から中段階のものがあり、初期段階の編年の構築が可能になる。また、土器の組み合わせが地域ごとに大きく異なることを発見した。従来青銅器時代と鉄器時代は相違ばかりが強調されてきた。しかし後者で展開する物質文化地域性が青銅器時代に遡る可能性を指摘できるかもしれない。アゼルバイジャン共和国で考古遺跡の発掘調査に参加した。アゼルバイジャンは自身が研究の中心としているイラン北部と連続した位置にあり、地理条件や気候にも類似する部分が多い。先史時代についても両者の文化的関連性は既に指摘されている。自身の研究のためにも今後積極的に関わっていくべき地域と考えている。参加した発掘調査は、アゼルバイジャンでは初めての日本人による考古学的調査となる。また現地アゼルバイジャンの考古学者と共同で実施している。調査を通して密な交流や意見交換をできたことは貴重だろう。従来の成果を統合すべく、「指導の委託」でフランスでの博士研究に従事した。自身の専門であるイラン鉄器時代の専門家に指導を仰ぎ、最新の研究状況を踏まえた様々な教示をうけた。特に研究の主眼であるアケメネス朝ペルシャの中枢の考古学研究状況を踏まえられた。またフランス所蔵イラン北東部出土資料の調査から、アケメネス朝期の編年の細分が可能になった。また現地考古学の方法論について、組み立てや実践を学んだ。フランス考古学の特徴は、フランスの社会人類学、美術史学、民族学等の成果を援用し、あくまでも厳密な考古遺物への分析視点とそこから読み取れる社会的背景への視点を説得的に組み合わせた点にある。考古学的現象を社会レベルで解釈するには有効で、欧米では盛んに実践されている。しかし日本では言語の壁もあり馴染みが薄い。自身の研究で実践すると同時に、日本考古学にも積極的に紹介していきたい。
