I researched biennial or triennial style contemporary art exhibitions which had held in 2008-2011, eight exhibitions in Japan and sixteen abroad, and verified that all of them somehow reflect their domestic culture. Through a re-evaluation of "indigenous art" in contemporary art exhibitions, I concluded that "indigenous" can be comprehended as "on-site creativity" without distinction between" contemporary art" and "traditional art".

我研究了2008年至2011年举办的两年一次或三年一次的当代艺术展览，其中日本有8个展览，国外有16个展览，并验证了它们都在某种程度上反映了本国文化。通过对当代艺术展览中“本土艺术”的重新评价，笔者认为“本土”可以理解为“现场创造”，而不分”当代艺术”和“传统艺术”。
